Hi,

Although in the written material for this course Ian says that you can either start drawing your stairs with risers or boundaries, it seems that with my version of revit (2019), I must absolutely start with the boundaries. If I try to draw the risers first, I get a message saying that revit is unable to create stairs from my sketch, and no matter how many risers I draw, it always says that I've only created one. Has anyone come along this same problem?

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is having trouble like me when following the video. It took me a while to figure out that this was the issue.

Thanks,

Emi

Hi Emi,

Yes you are right in that if you start with Riser lines first, it does not report correctly that you are putting them in- it stays at "1". However, it does let you put them in and it does create the Stairs.

I think it just fits in with the workflow that Autodesk think you are going to take- ie sketch the boundaries first.

Many thanks,

Ian
